Following the annual trip, Bert’s Big Adventure strives to further strengthen its established community and friendships by hosting Family Reunion Adventures. Also known as family reunions, the exclusive and unique events provide the families with year-round opportunities to enjoy more VIP experiences and intimate family time away from doctor visits and hospital stays.

On Sunday, November 10th, more than 350 Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos and their families gathered together to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season at our Holiday Reunion Adventure 2019. The families, joined by the Bert’s Big Adventure staff, the cast of The Bert Show and a few of our amazing volunteers, enjoyed a festive evening full of merry and bright cheer! So many extraordinary people came together to make this an unforgettable evening and they each deserve our gratitude.
On Sunday, October 20th, more than 430 members of the Bert’s Big Adventure community gathered together for the Fall Reunion Adventure 2019 — a reunion for Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos and families from all previous years to join together for a quarterly VIP experience!! It was a lively afternoon filled with big hugs, joyful story-sharing and some seriously spirited friendly competition!
For the third year, Dentistry for Children and Family Orthodontics graciously hosted our fall reunion! We are so grateful for their continued generosity in making this magical afternoon of fun and games possible! A huge thank you to Dave & Busters in Marietta for going above and beyond to make our experience memorable year after year! The families, joined by the Bert’s Big Adventure staff and a handful of our dedicated volunteers, had a great afternoon enjoying unlimited gaming classics including Pac-Man, Skee-Ball, and Pop-A-Shot, along with modern gaming innovations and exciting virtual reality rides. We also shared a delicious meal because let’s be honest, you can’t compete without a full belly!
On Sunday, August 11th, more than 350 Bert’s Big Adventure family members reunited for the 12th annual Summer Reunion Adventure pool party! The families, joined by the Bert’s Big Adventure staff, the cast of The Bert Show, our amazing volunteers and some of our loyal sponsors had an epic sunny afternoon poolside!Our dear friends at Gas South generously sponsored our splash bash! They are always so wonderful to our families and they graciously provided our kiddos with cool gifts – like sunglasses, pool balls, and water bottles – to make the party even more VIP. Again and again, they are so wonderful to our families!
For the fourth year in a row, Life Time Athletic in Sandy Springs graciously donated their beautiful facility for our private use! Truly, they have the most amazing spiraling outdoor water slides in town! Bert’s Big Adventure families enjoyed an assortment of delicious pizzas, salads, macaroni and cheese and various desserts thanks to our friends at California Pizza Kitchen! Ultra-refreshing Kona Ice also brought their shaved ice truck for the kiddos to create custom creations! A new addition to this year’s reunion was Golden Days Photobooth, a mobile and air-conditioned photobooth, that was a huge hit with the kids! DJ Willie T (aka Tommy from The Bert Show) brought the best jams and took requests from the kiddos to keep the playlist and party lively!

On Sunday, May 19th nearly 450 Bert’s Big Adventure family members gathered together for a DINO-MITE evening at Fernbank Museum at the first Reunion Adventure of 2019! Each year our Spring Reunion is extra special because it’s the first reunion that our newest group of families attend after their magical 5-day journey to Disney. It’s so special to witness kiddos from so many different years meeting for the first time in person and bonding together! It’s a true family affair!
This magical evening was made possible by the generous sponsorship of our dear friends at Gas South! They always treat our sweet kiddos like VIPs and pull out all of the stops to make sure that every member of the family has a memorable experience. Our families even got to take home an awesome engraved photo frame to commemorate the awesome evening!
Thanks to our friends at Proof of the Pudding, we had a true A+ dining experience! The Coca-Cola Smoked Brisket and Roasted Truffle Fingerling Potatoes knocked our socks off! And who could forget the milk and cookie shooters?! We are so lucky to have experienced such culinary creations.
A big thank you to our host, Fernbank Museum! We had the museum all to ourselves and our kiddos LOVED exploring each interactive exhibit more than the last! Truly, they only stopped excitedly racing from room to room to boogie down on the dance floor to jams from our awesome DJ, Jobe Gruber.
To cap off the night, our families enjoyed Oceans: Our Blue Planet on the big screen of the giant IMAX theater, complete with individual boxes of movie theater candy. Nothing like a good flick and a sweet treat as the icing on the cake of a fabulous evening!
