Following the annual trip, Bert’s Big Adventure strives to further strengthen its established community and friendships by hosting Reunion Adventures. Also known as family reunions, the exclusive and unique events provide the families with year-round opportunities to enjoy more VIP experiences and intimate family time away from doctor visits and hospital stays. This has been a unique year to say the least! We gathered together for a socially-distanced and safe Fall Reunion Adventure in October. Watch the video below!
Bert’s Big Adventure strives to further strengthen its established community and friendships by hosting quarterly Reunion Adventures – Spring, Summer, Fall and Holiday. On Sunday, December 6th, 86 Bert’s Big Adventure families (…y’all that’s 422 besties!) safely gathered at World of Illumination in Marietta for our annual Holiday Reunion Adventure 2020!
Our kiddos enjoyed a VIP private experience at Candy Rush! The show dazzled with hundreds of interactive displays and millions of animated lights! The world’s largest drive-through animated light show was enjoyed from the safety and comfort of individual vehicles to ensure all safety precautions were implemented. When leaving the show, the families were gifted a gingerbread mansion, a gift card to Amazon, one of our annual holiday ornaments and a gift card to enjoy dinner on the way home!
On Sunday, October 18th, Bert’s Big Adventure hosted their first-ever socially distanced Reunion Adventure thanks to our generous friends at Gas South and Zaxby’s! It was the first time that many of our families enjoyed the fellowship of their besties since November 2019. We savored many sweet moments together despite the continued complications created by the global pandemic.
In lieu of their traditional Reunion Adventure, Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos and their families were invited to The Springs Cinema & Taphouse in Sandy Springs for private drive-in showing of the classic kiddo-friendly movie, Shrek. The families were greeted by Bert’s Big Adventure staff and Fairy Godparent volunteers with air hugs and waves from a distance. Guests brought their own dinner, courtesy of gift cards from Zaxby’s, from the comfort of their spacious dedicated parking spots. 2020 can’t stop us from filling our bellies with delicious eats and enjoying VIP experiences!
