Our founder, Bert Weiss, lovingly refers to our annual all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World as the unofficial initiation into the Bert’s Big Adventure community. And once you’re in, you’re in for life!
This year, several of our amazing Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos and siblings are celebrating graduation milestones and deserve to be recognized:
Kayli B.
Kayli is the sibling of Kynli B. and went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2022. She is graduating from Collins Hill High School – Go Eagles. Kayli is twelve years post liver transplant and a fantastic role model to her siblings, who were born with the same chronic disease. Her plans for after graduation are still undecided, but she is interested in pursuing a career in medicine, forensics, or make-up! You rock, Kayli!
Khairi B.
Khairi is an amazing Bert’s Big Adventure kiddo, and he went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2018. Six months ago, Khairi was placed on Life Support, and doctors told his mother, Michella, that he wouldn’t make it. However, this brave boy has persevered, worked hard to complete his school work, and will graduate from 5th grade at Hapeville Elementary School. You are incredible, Khairi!
Austin D.
Austin is the sibling of Braxton D. and went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2018. He is graduating from Central High School – Go Lions. Austin is leaving high school with a Business Pathway specialty. This fall, he is headed to West Georgia Technical College. You are amazing, Austin!
Raymond G.
Raymond is the brother of Raynel G. and went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2016. He is graduating with Honors and his Nursing degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. WOW – way to go, Raymond!
Abigail L. and Alexander L.
Abigail and Alexander are amazing Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos, and they went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2011. They are both graduating from East Forsyth High School – go Broncos! Abigail has ACCepted admission to Kennesaw State University Honors College and will receive the Zell Miller Scholarship. While Alexander has accepted admission to Kennesaw State University and will receive the Hope Scholarship. You both have incredibly bright futures!
Conor M.
Conor is an amazing Bert’s Big Adventure kiddo, and he went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2014. He is graduating from James Island Charter High School – go Trojans! This fall, Conor will be attending the College of Charleston! He plans to major in Systems Engineering with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. Over the summer, he will be working as a camp counselor at a camp in the Adirondacks for kids with life-threatening conditions. We are so proud of you, Conor!
Alana P.
Alana is an amazing Bert’s Big Adventure kiddo, and she went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2013. He is graduating from Rockwood High School – go Lions! This fall, Alana will be pursuing her degree in Veterinary Technology. You are so amazing, Alana!
Keon T.
Keon is the sibling of Kiki T. and went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2020. He is graduating from Beacon Hill Middle School – Go Bulldogs. This amazing boy is off to high school next fall. Go, Keon, go!
Chad Y.
Chad is the sibling of Noah Y. and went to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure in 2017. He is graduating from Hillgrove High School – Go Hawks – and will attend a trade school in the fall. His family is so proud of him and the amazing young man that he has become. Way to go, Chad!
