As we approach the 10th Annual Noon to Night: Fall Fashion Benefit at Avalon, we wanted to stroll down memory lane. Since 2015, our friends at Avalon have been hosting a glamorous evening of fashion and festivities, rolling out the blue carpet to benefit our Bert’s Big Adventure kids and their families. We are extremely grateful to be able to reminisce on so many magical moments that were made on and off the catwalk
2015
Sweet #BBA2015 kiddo Quincey was so excited about her pink jacket! The color matched her favorite pair of glasses perfectly. To help get our precious kiddo models excited for the catwalk, we surprised them with a backstage performance by a live guitarist. Everyone’s mouths dropped to the floor when the first song began. He was so good and the kiddos rocked the runway after the performance!
2016
Kristin handed over the mic to #BBA2014 kiddo Georgia, and she was a natural in front of an audience! She captivated the crowd with her sparkling charm. A future star was born that night! #BBA2013 kiddo Emory interacted with the audience while walking down the runway by giving high fives all around! What a lucky front row! It was a beautiful thing to watch his confidence soar!
2018
#BBA2014 kiddo Madison was so excited to strut down the runway with Dr. Michelle that they held each other’s hands the entire way! It was such a precious moment! Cancer warrior and #BBA2018 kiddo Khairi ran down the runway with his jacket blowing behind him like a cape. What can we say … Khairi is a superhero wherever he goes!!
2020
We were grateful to be able to connect and come together with our community virtually while we were staying home amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a welcome reprieve during a scary and isolating time for our medically fragile children. It was also beautiful to see folks join hearts for our families despite the ongoing difficult time for so many.
2021
It was incredible to be back on the Boulevard after 2020! We all were pinching ourselves that we were together after being so unsure what the future held just the year before. On the runway that night we had #BBA2011 kiddo, Jennifer, celebrating her 21st birthday alongside, #BBA2009 kiddo, Ashlyn celebrating her 18th birthday like princesses! The cheers just felt so extra special that gorgeous night in September!
2022
Darling #BBA2020 kiddo Kiki owned the runway to standing applause! The crowd was captivated by her hair flips and personality Sweet #BBA2020 kiddo Charlie got so caught up in the moment that he shook his booty at the top of the runway to cap off his amazing runway strut. Sweet #BBA2020 kiddo Sam lit up the runway as he walked alongside one of his besties, Moe from The Bert Show.
2023
This year’s celebration was nothing short of amazing as we celebrated Bert’s Big Adventure’s 20th-anniversary trip by taking over the runway with 20 kiddo models in honor of this magical milestone! As a community we also raised a record high of $85,891(!!!) for our year-round programs thanks to some serious generous hearts in the crowd. Sweet and spicy #BBA2023 kiddo, Jax, tore up the runway with his dance skills. Everyone was grooving alongside him!
