On Saturday, August 25th, we set our alarm clocks and happily dashed out of bed early to participate in the 10th Annual Digital Dash 5K Road Race. The event, presented by OneDigital Health and Benefits, took place on Marietta Square and raised $75,000 to be dispersed between both Bert’s Big Adventure and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Entrants ranged from competitive runners hoping to qualify for the Peachtree Road Race to first-timers!
The weather was uncharacteristically brisk for an August morning but provided the best 5K weather. The race route brought participants through the beautiful neighborhoods that surround the Square. Everyone was all smiles and in good spirits despite those hills midway through. After passing through the finish line, participants were treated to music, high fives, and an awards ceremony.
In celebration of the event’s 10th anniversary, racers were encouraged to come dressed in their best decade attire. Everyone had a great time at the costume contest!
Thank you so much for keeping us Dashin’ for a Decade, OneDigital. We are so grateful for all those who came out to participate, act as cheerleaders for our racers, and the ghost runners who registered and participated from afar. We look forward to next year!
Thank you so much to Dunkin’ Donuts Georgia for keeping us caffeinated, and to Eco Tech Services for keeping us hydrated! Check out the other generous sponsors here; http://digitaldash5k.com/our-partners/
