The 2018 Bert’s Big Adventure families arrived to the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel in style, courtesy of Cooper Global Transportation, to kickoff the first day of their magical journey! The Jonesboro High School Drumline added even more excitement to the red-carpet entrance.
The Kaleidoscope Project passed out personalized tutus and superhero capes to all, while Ears of Magic by Brooke gave each Bert’s Big Adventure kiddo a custom set of Mickey ears!
The 2018 family members gathered for a delicious meal from Jersey Mike’s Subs followed by a Haagen-Dazs ice cream social. The group even had a little surprise party after dinner to celebration the birthday of Bert’s Big Adventure kiddo, Braxton. Braxton told us he wanted balloons and a chocolate fountain for his birthday…and man did we deliver!
The 2018 Bert’s Big Adventure kids were entertained with music and karaoke by DJ Scott Moody from LOKD Entertainment!
SURPRISE! Right before bedtime, Bert made three major announcements! Mattress Firm generously donated one mattress and box spring to each Bert’s Big Adventure child and one mattress and box spring to the parents! Dentistry for Children and Family Orthodontics donated one set of braces to each Bert’s Big Adventure kid. Eco Tech Services, Northwest Georgia’s Surface Cleaning Specialists, is donating a carpet cleaning service to each Georgia-based families!
Last but not least, THANK YOU to the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel! The hotel donates all of our event spaces, along with an overnight stay for every Bert’s Big Adventure family!
