For our last day in Florida, the families were up early to conclude Bert’s Big Adventure 2025 and participate in The Bert Show live broadcast from Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. We filled our bellies while enjoying one final huge breakfast spread together – We simply couldn’t leave Disney without one last Mickey Waffle morning! To keep the energy high after an early wake-up call, an airbrush tattoo artist and a custom caricature artist joined in on the fun.
A huge surprise awaited Finnley, Timberline Glamping surprised her family with a glamping getaway every month for a year at one of 18 stunning locations across Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, with unique experience from lakeside views to mountain hikes! To make travel stress-free, our friends at Zaxby’s are adding $1,500 to help cover all expenses including delicious meals for the camp out. Now that’s a Zax of Kindness!
Liam had his own magical moment when multi platinum singer and songwriter, Andy Grammer, recorded a personalized video and surprised Liam with super VIP tickets that includes a backstage meet and greet to his March show! Our friends at Gas South couldn’t resist making the night even more special with a luxury Buckhead hotel stay, transportation, meals, and souvenirs, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
In between these beautiful surprises, every proud mom, dad and cousin read a personalized letter to our Bert’s Big Adventure children. There was not a dry eye in the house after each letter. Though each letter was unique, they all shared a common theme—pure joy in seeing their children simply being kids, free from the worries of diagnoses, doctor visits, and treatments. From the moment we arrived at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel on Wednesday, February 19th, all those worries melted away.
After a beautiful and heartfelt morning, we boarded the flight home with our wonderful friends at Endeavor Air. Upon arrival at the gate, the sweetest employees from Endeavor Air greeted the families with custom made signs for each kiddos!
But, there was one last surprise waiting just around the corner at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel. Each Bert’s Big Adventure family were surprised at with huge, jam packed bins loaded with favorites that the kiddos can enjoy all year-round.
Following the final squeeze, each of our sleepy families boarded their own individual Fur Bus for a comfy ride home. It was the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip!
