The Bert’s Big Adventure crew woke up to a beautiful morning in sunny Florida! We started our day by hopping aboard the comfy Mears Transportation shuttles at Disney’s Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and heading to the iconic Magic Kingdom. As we strolled down Main Street, the moment Cinderella’s Castle came into view, all 14 kiddos faces lit up with awe and amazement! This was the moment they had been dreaming of—their adventure had officially begun, and their Disney dreams were coming true!
Against the backdrop of Cinderella’s Castle, we gathered for a scrumptious outdoor breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace! We filled our bellies with a delicious breakfast with Mickey Waffles, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, warm potatoes, and more! It was the perfect way to fuel up for a fun day ahead.
While the kiddos excitedly buzzed about and our crew made a game plan for our first full day in the park, Bert had a very special announcement to make. SURPRISE! The girls had exclusive appointments booked at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for princess makeovers! We had an enchanting time bringing so many magical princess makeovers to life! Bella transformed into Cinderella, Finnely became Rapunzel, Maggie dazzled as Belle, Sky embodied Moana, Bailey sparkled as Tinkerbell, and Jolene shined as Mirabel. We even had our very own Prince Charmings, Liam and Sin, making the day even more magical!
What an incredible day! Our families and staff shared countless unforgettable moments at Magic Kingdom, from thrilling rides on the legendary TRON rollercoaster, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! But the fun didn’t stop there! Our kiddos enjoyed plenty of souvenir shopping, picking out everything from bubble wands and action figures to pins, balloons, plushies, Mickey ears, and more!
After an action-packed day, all the families gathered for a special dinner at the Atlantic Dance Hall, where they enjoyed an unforgettable dueling pianos experience! To make the night even more magical, our friends Jasmine and Genie stopped by to grant a few wishes and greet all 14 kiddos.
Between the dueling pianos, we indulged in a feast that included roasted beef strip served with classic steakhouse accompaniments, chicken with rioja sauce, seasonal fish with roasted tomato jus, charcuterie, potato barrels, chicken tenders, and more. Of course, we saved room for the grand finale – mini strawberry shortcake and Mickey crisped rice treats!
