On Sunday, November 17th, 400 Bert’s Big Adventure family members gathered for a heartwarming Holiday Family Reunion Adventure, generously sponsored by our friends at Gas South!
This year’s Holiday Family Reunion Adventure, hosted at The Delta Club at Truist Park, marked our first time in this stunning space, and we truly felt like VIPs. A special thank you to Gas South and The Braves Foundation for making this magical night possible!
The evening began with family photos with Santa, who brought holiday cheer to our precious kiddos. While waiting their turn for photos, families sipped on cozy hot chocolate complete with marshmallows and whipped cream.
Dinner was a delicious hit, with mac and cheese, tater tots, and chicken tenders filling everyone’s plates. For dessert, families created custom ice cream sandwiches, choosing from an array of cookies like chocolate chip, red velvet, and birthday cake, paired with their favorite ice cream flavors.
In addition to a bountiful holiday dinner and sweet treats, kids and their families decorated holiday crafts including making festive kitchen towels for baking holiday treats, writing letters to Santa and so much more. A big thank you to our amazing volunteers for running the craft corner filled with colorful paints!
As always, the dance floor was packed, thanks to DJ Jobe, who kept the energy high with a fun-filled dance party.
We were thrilled to welcome families from The Bert Show affiliate markets across the country, and we’re so grateful to the JW Marriott in Buckhead for accommodating our out-of-town families. The JW Marriott’s hospitality ensured a stress-free and enjoyable weekend for everyone.
A huge thank you to Cindy Powers for coordinating a magical lineup of characters, including Star Wars favorites and beautiful Disney princesses. Cindy’s dedication and playful character volunteers brought so much joy to the night.
Another BIG thank you goes to Gas South for sponsoring all 4 of our family reunions in 2024! Each reunion costs about $50,000, and their generosity continues to make VIP moments possible for our families – what an incredible blessing!
