Today’s spotlight belongs to Ginny! Ginny began her magical journey with Bert’s Big Adventure as a fairy godparent in January 2012 and has been such a helping hand ever since. Here’s what she has to say about her Fairy Godparent journey.
“Stand out moments for me are found in the quiet moments spent with the kids and or their families at the hospital. Don’t get me wrong, send off, reunions, and watching the kids grow up are incredible experiences and wonderful times of celebration, but in the hospital I find the most cherished moments when the children and their families are going through their most vulnerable trials. They are filled with the good, bad, scary, celebratory, uncertain, hopeful, and everything in between.”
“Spending quality time with the kids and their families in the hospital lends insight that is especially unique. It builds a bond unique to any other aspect of Bert’s Big Adventure.”

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
Launched in May of 2010 through the Carter’s Charitable Foundation, our Fairy Godparent Volunteer Program supports Bert’s Big Adventure’s children and their families through the stress and uncertainty of hospitalizations. The beloved fairy godparents visit Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos at partner hospitals daily throughout their hospitalization, bringing toys, activities, food and a much-needed break for the entire family.
In addition to the Fairy Godparent Volunteer Program, Carter’s also provides a team of volunteers at the Disney Send-Off Celebration and Family Reunion Adventures throughout the year. Because of its strong support and unwavering commitment to Bert’s Big Adventure, Carter’s has become a trusted teammate, helping Bert’s Big Adventure accomplish more each year.
