On Sunday, January 7th, Bert’s Big Adventure hosted our annual New Family Orientation sponsored by Gas South!
Our newest kiddos excitedly gathered at Georgia Aquarium for a morning of celebration — from a delicious lunch and tasty cupcakes and cookies to exploring the fantastic exhibits and interactive presentations, our new families were treated like VIPs!
More importantly, all 12 kiddos and their parents were able to meet each other (and become fast friends!) ahead of our 5-day all-expenses-paid journey to Walt Disney World in February! Two of our 2024 families even flew in from Indiana to join the party! New Family Orientation is crucial to our families for both developing relationships and feeling comfortable traveling with our crew prior to departure day. We are so grateful to our friends at Gas South for sponsoring this beautiful day!
It was a day to remember and just the start of a magical journey for these deserving children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their incredible families.
The highlight of the event was when Bert and Kristin presented each kiddo with a custom key to open the front gates at Disney!
