In preparation for a full day of adventure, Bert’s Big Adventure kicked off a gorgeous Saturday with breakfast at Hollywood Studios’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Because we couldn’t resist, the menu was uniquely Star Wars – blumfruit muffins, scrambled tip yip eggs with cheese and chives endorian, twi’lek toast, and so much more! The kiddos loved the immersive eating experience!
After getting fueled up, our crew set off for one of the most genuinely unique and VIP experiences we had ever pulled off in 20 years of Bert’s Big Adventure. As a group, we were able to assemble Custom Astromech Units! We loved our time in the workshop constructing our very own droids, one of the galaxy’s most indispensable sidekicks. This was a moment our kiddos will never forget!
The rest of the afternoon was spent riding roller coasters, souvenir shopping, exploring other Disney parks, and trips to the pool!
That evening, we all met up to take a beautiful walk to the Grand Floridian Resort. The group was treated to a gorgeous buffet dreamed up in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Cinderella’s Castle. The menu was so delectable that Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye decided to join us for dinner!
After dinner, there was a …. surprise (!!!) dance party starring Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, and the Bert’s Big Adventure kiddos! We laughed, played games, and got out the wiggles before the pop of confetti capped off one final dance.
We finished the day with dessert and fireworks on the patio during a beautiful Florida evening! There was even a custom 20th-anniversary cake to celebrate this milestone occasion. It was the perfect ending to a once-in-a-lifetime day.
