The families were up bright and early for the last day of Bert’s Big Adventure 2019 and The Bert Show broadcast from ESPN Club at Disney’s Boardwalk. Many tears were shed as parents read personalized letters to their children before the flight home with our wonderful friends at Endeavor Air. The kiddos were spoiled in flight as Endeavor Air created custom VIP boarding passing, decorated the cabin of the airplane in Disney decor, passed out personalized cards signed by the crew, and served lunch and desserts with a smile! Upon arrival in to the hangar, the employees from Endeavor Air greeted the families with a DJ and a spontaneous dance party and lots and lots of hugs! The volunteers even carried each piece of luggage to the waiting limousines for our exhausted families.
Bert’s Big Adventure families were also surprised with huge bins filled with toys and activities at the end of their 5-day trip to Walt Disney World that the kids can enjoy all year-round. Toys were donated by The Bert Show’s co- host, Kristin Klingshirn, and her husband, Bart Mattingly. To learn more about Kristin and Bart’s donation, click here.
Last but never least, thanks to our photographers, including Sarah Esther Photography, Cassandra Young Photography, Dash Photography and Monarch Studio.
And a huge thank you to Troika Studio and Masters of Visual Arts for capturing all of these special moments on video!
Remember, we couldn’t do all of this without you! We’re asking our supporters to give just $5 or more! Every dollar you donate to Bert’s Big Adventure between now and February 28th will be matched by the Carter’s Charitable Foundation. $5 from you + $5 from Carter’s Charitable Foundation can make a difference in the lives of these very deserving children.
