We have so many wonderful people that help us with Bert’s Big Adventure, but you don’t get to see them because they’re behind the scenes, but they keep us going every day with their help.
Ginny has been a Fairy Godparent volunteer for six years and has been nothing short of wonderful! She has formed incredible bonds with the kiddos and the parents. She is such a huge help to the families and to the Bert’s Big Adventure staff. We appreciate you and love you Ginny!
Here’s what Ginny has to say about Bert’s Big Adventure:
“I first learned of Bert’s Big Adventure and the Fairy Godparent program when I moved to Atlanta in 2011. The day I learned what a FGP was, I signed up, and have been honored to be part of this incredible program since. To me, the Fairy Godparent program is bringing a little extra sunshine to the Bert’s Big Adventure children and their families when they need it most, but also when there are celebrations to be had no matter how big or small. It is a way to lift some weight of trying times from the adult’s shoulders, and lift the spirits of the children. In return, the FGP program gives me the privilege of spending time with the strongest, hardest fighting, most courageous, optimistic, amazing children and families one could be around. It fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude, I cannot imagine my life without it.”
