What an incredible night. Our Bert’s Big Adventure families thought they were just getting a holiday dinner at The Buckhead Club, but instead, they were in for a HUGE surprise!
We’re celebrating our 15 year anniversary, and honoring that, the Atlanta Hawks players and coaches surprised 15 Bert’s Big Adventure families – one family from each of the past trips – with a holiday surprise complete with piles and piles of presents!
The stream of Hawks players handing out presents to Bert’s Big Adventure children and their families was nonstop, as were the smiles, the tears, and the shrieks of joy.
We can’t thank the Atlanta Hawks enough – from their staff, who volunteered to go shopping and wrapped all the gifts to CEO Steve Koonin, Head Coach Mike Budenholzer and the players – Dwight Howard, Malcolm Delaney, Taurean Prince, DeAndre’ Bembry, Tiago Splitter, Kyle Korver, Ryan Kelly, Thabo Sefolosha, Dennis Schroder, Kris Humphries, Tim Hardaway Jr. – and others who spent their night with us – you guys made Christmas VERY special for some very special families.
