Twelve children with chronic and/or terminal illnesses have been selected to travel to Walt Disney World with their families and the Bert’s Big Adventure staff on the organization’s 10th annual adventure, departing from the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport on February 16, 2012. The families gathered together last Thursday, January 12 for an orientation event at Imagine It! Children’s Museum of Atlanta. While the kids met and played with their future travel companions, parents had the opportunity to meet Bert & Stacey Weiss and the rest of the Bert’s Big Adventure staff, who explained what to expect on the trip. The cast of The Bert Show was also in attendance, and everyone enjoyed dinner, games, and a Q&A session.
