The Inaugural Event with Pure Fashion will feature special guest performer, Jonny Diaz!
The hottest spring fashions for children and teens will debut at the inaugural Peace, Love & Pure Fashion Show at Opera on Sunday, April 25. Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit Bert’s Big Adventure, a non-profit organization designed to allow children ages 5-12 with chronic or terminal illnesses, proven financial need and who live in The Bert Show (on Q100, 99.7 FM) listening area to experience a magical five-day adventure with their families at Walt Disney World.
The beauty and style of spring will be unveiled with more than 40 Pure Fashion models strutting down the runway to live music by DJ Jobe as Corinna Allen of CBS 46’s Better Mornings and Stacey Weiss, co-founder of Bert’s Big Adventure, emcee the event. Pure Fashion is an international faith based program for girls ages 14-18 that helps young women re-discover and re-affirm their innate value and authentic femininity. Pure Fashion is a character formation program that enhances not only a young woman’s external appearance, but more importantly, her interior beauty and balanced self confidence.
The event will also feature a live performance from Jonny Diaz, nationally recognized contemporary Christian musician famed for his major record label debut album, More Beautiful You, which charted on Billboard magazine’s Top Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts. Diaz has also garnered a following in Atlanta through his brother Matt Diaz, an outfielder for the Atlanta Braves. In addition to the fun and fashion, beverages and light bites will be provided by Tin Lizzy’s, Café at Pharr, and Here to Serve Restaurants.
The show will introduce looks exclusively from JCPenney and Carter’s Babies and Kids. Models from the Pure Fashion organization will showcase looks in three fashion scenes titled, “Peace,” “Love” and “Pure.” The “Peace” fashion scene will preview a fresh take on sporty and fun looks. The “Love” fashion scene will boast dressy ensembles for school dances and proms, and the “Pure” fashion scene will reveal the quintessential spring ensembles for casual but special occasions. Hair will be styled by Balance Salon’s CJ Nicotera and team. Authentic Beauty’s Alyson Hoag will provide make-up for the models. And, for an exciting twist: Guests will also see children from Bert’s Big Adventure strutting down the runway!
The public is invited to attend the ticketed fashion show and concert. Single regular admission tickets are $30, and a pair of regular admission tickets is $50.
