Family Reunion with Santa – 2010

November 21, 2010, the Bert’s Big Adventure families gathered at Phipps Plaza for our annual holiday family reunion! The families were invited by Santa at Phipps to have their photos taken with Santa. Guests also enjoyed magic shows by Ken Scott, jewelry making with Brina Beads, making their own Build-a-Bears, ornament making with our Fairy God Parents, and, of course, a delicious holiday dinner! Fairy Godparent Launch Party

Kick off party for the Fairy Godparent volunteer program at Tin Lizzy’s Cantina in Midtown. The Fairy Godparent Volunteer Program is sponsored by Carter’s, Inc., the Atlanta-based marketer of the Carter’s and OshKosh B’gosh childrenswear brands, will allow Bert’s Big Adventure families to be visited on a daily basis when their child is admitted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s). Even in the hospital, magical moments can still occur. Although the program can’t turn pumpkins into carriages, the goal is to turn difficult and stressful situations into positive and comfortable experiences. Photos by sarahanna.com.
