For Beth, that world is her family: five incredible children, countless appointments, endless responsibilities, and a love that never seems to run out.

Beth’s third child, Manny, entered the world unexpectedly. Born on Christmas Eve via emergency C-section, he spent more than a week in the NICU before doctors diagnosed him with a congenital heart defect and Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). At just six months old, Manny underwent open-heart surgery to repair an AV canal defect, followed by eye surgery at age three. He began speech, occupational, and physical therapy at only six weeks old and continues receiving services through school today. Though nonverbal, Manny is expressive, determined, full of personality, and known for giving unforgettable hugs.

When Manny was two years old and Beth’s fourth child, Lani, was only 11 months old, the family faced another unimaginable challenge. Lani was diagnosed with Malignant Germ Cell Tumor and immediately began chemotherapy. After four rounds of intensive treatment and multiple hospital stays, surgery revealed the tumor had shrunk dramatically and no longer needed to be removed. Following months of monitoring, Lani transitioned to the survivor clinic.
After years of relentless appointments and medical challenges, the family is finally enjoying a season with fewer demands and more space to simply be together. Through it all, Beth has been a fierce advocate, a steady guide, and a source of unconditional love for her children.

Still, thoughtfully caring for five beautiful children in very different seasons of life often leaves Beth exhausted by week’s end, a quiet testament to just how much love she pours into her family every single day. That’s why it was time for someone to take care of her!
A Surprise Designed for Rest
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Barnsley Resort, Sweet Peach Wax & Sugaring Studio, and Goldbergs Fine Foods Studio, Beth received a surprise focused entirely on relaxation, restoration, and peace of mind!

Shelby Kolb, Director of Marketing at Barnsley Resort, invited Beth and a guest to enjoy a luxury getaway at the breathtaking 3,000-acre resort just north of Atlanta.
The experience included a stay in one of Barnsley’s beautifully designed cottage suites, dinner at Jules, the resort’s brand new restaurant led by Chef Shaun Doty, and a Signature Barnsley Bamboo Massage at the award-winning spa. Beth also received access to the resort’s steam rooms, sauna, hiking trails, canoeing, pickleball courts, putting course, fire pits, and countless opportunities to simply slow down and reconnect.

A Surprise Designed to Restore
Raquel Souza, owner of Sweet Peach Wax & Sugaring Studio, and Goldbergs Fine Foods wanted to give Beth something many caregivers rarely receive: the gift of time. To help ease daily responsibilities, Raquel gifted Beth $2,500 in Publix and Kroger gift cards to simplify grocery shopping and delivery, along with another $2,500 to cover a full year of professional home cleaning services through LuxClean Cleaning and Management. LuxClean is dedicated to creating clean, healthy, and stress-free spaces through reliable service, exceptional attention to detail, and customer care. With chores handled and household tasks lightened, Beth could spend more time focusing on what matters most: her beautiful family.

A Weekend Mom Will Never Forget
After returning from her getaway, Beth could hardly find the words to describe the experience.
“Barnsley literally was a magical place,” she shared. Beth brought along a close friend from high school, and together they enjoyed a weekend filled with relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

“We both couldn’t believe we were still in Georgia,” Beth said. “We were treated with so much kindness and respect.” The experience began the moment they arrived. Even though they reached the resort at 8 a.m., hours before check-in, the staff welcomed them immediately so they could join a peaceful nature hike.
“The hike was so peaceful,” Beth recalled. “The cottage was quaint and beautiful.”
Throughout the weekend, they embraced every opportunity to explore, enjoyed lunch overlooking the golf course, and dressed up for an incredible dinner at Jules.

One of the highlights of the trip was her visit to the spa. “I ended my stay with a deep tissue massage,” she said. “The spa was five stars, just peaceful. I didn’t want to leave!”
From live music and outdoor activities to quiet moments of rest, Beth found something that many caregivers rarely experience: the chance to simply be cared for. “There was not a dull moment at the resort,” she said.
The surprises continued when LuxClean arrived Mother’s Day weekend to give her home a top-to-bottom deep cleaning. It was a meaningful gift that allowed Beth to enjoy the holiday with one less thing on her plate.

And thanks to Barnsley Resort, Sweet Peach Wax & Sugaring Studio, Goldbergs Fine Foods and LuxClean Cleaning and Management, and a community that believes in celebrating extraordinary caregivers, Beth returned home with more than memories. She returned refreshed, appreciated, and reminded that sometimes the people who spend their lives creating magic for others deserve a little magic themselves.
