During the 2025 trip, Bert described a moment that might sound small, but meant everything to Rainey’s family. At one point, Rainey took her hat off and stayed that way for hours.
“It’s a huge thing. Rainey does not go out in public without her hat. She has many different baseball caps she likes to choose from, but there was more than one occasion on this trip that she felt comfortable enough to run around out in public without her hat. And it might sound trivial, but it is so very huge, which is like one of those celebration moments.”
