Yesterday, over 400 Bert’s Big Adventure family members and The Bert Show gathered together for our Fall Family Reunion Adventure!

There were 80 excited families in attendance, including 7 out-of-state families from Indiana, Michigan, South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida.
Fueled by our gracious friends at Gas South, this year’s reunion was held at Medieval Times, and it was nothing short of magical.
From the moment our families crossed the drawbridge into the grand castle, the royal adventure began! Some of our kiddos even dressed in the most adorable costumes.

Families explored the Hall of Arms, caught up with one another, and snapped so many adorable photos before taking their seats in the arena, crowns and flags in hand, ready to cheer on the knights!

Separated into houses, the energy in the stands was incredible. After nearly two hours of stunts, jousts, and battles, the black-and-white knight claimed victory, and our families went wild cheering him on.
Of course, no Medieval Times experience is complete without the feast. Families laughed and bonded as they devoured their rotisserie chicken and soup (utensil-free) just like in the 11th century. The kiddos especially loved their castle strobe cups overflowing with icy slushies!

One of the most unforgettable moments of the day? Bert Weiss being knighted by the King and Queen, a surprise that had everyone buzzing long after the show ended.
We are beyond grateful to Medieval Times for treating our families like royalty, and to Gas South for sponsoring our Family Reunion Adventures. Because of your support, we’re able to create cherished moments of connection and community for our families.

Last but not least, thank you to our wonderful photographers and videographers for capturing all the amazing moments at the reunion! Amanda W. Coker with Dash Photography, Sarah from Sarah Witherington Photography, Seth Ferreira with Salt Run Creative, and Aslyn Baringer with Aslyn Baringer Productions are the magic behind the cameras, and we are so grateful for them!
