On March 24th, the Bert’s Big Adventure staff and our incredible new families were wheels-up for the 19th journey to Walt Disney World. As part of the yearly tradition, the send-off party was full of excitement as The Bert Show unveiled multiple surprises to the families during their live broadcast at the Hilton Atlanta Airport hotel.
Some of the surprises included – a VIP veterinary behind-the-scenes tour at Zoo Atlanta graciously donated by our sweet buds at Crisp (and made more exclusive thanks to transportation by FurBus)! Our amazing friend, Justin Landis of Justin Landis Group, gifted three months of rent to an incredibly deserving family that includes three kiddos who have undergone liver transplants! Georgia Amusement & Music Operators Association (GAMOA) generously planned a once-in-a-lifetime dolphin and tropical fish day in paradise at Discovery Cove for one precious family.
As a very special surprise, #BBA2022 kiddo, Malakai, received a once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience at Mercedes-Benz Stadium! Our gracious friends, RBM of Alpharetta, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Atlanta Falcons, came together to dream up an incredible experience for Malakai and 15 of his best friends and family. They will be treated to a home game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium- a fan first, world-class experience – for a Falcons game in a private suite! RBM of Alpharetta is going all out with food and beverage inside the suite for the kiddos, so they never have to miss a play. Malakai and his buddies are going to get the red-carpet, VIP treatment thanks to RBM of Alpharetta!
Following the party, Fur Bus shuttled the families to the airport where they boarded a chartered flight courtesy of Endeavor Air to Walt Disney World. The kiddos were spoiled in flight as Endeavor Air created custom VIP boarding passes and decorated the cabin of the airplane in celebratory Disney decor!
Upon arrival at the happiest place on earth, the families checked in to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for a couple of hours of much-needed rest before our first night in the parks. We met back up to head out for a delicious dinner at Epcot’s Living Seas with our buds, Mickey and Minnie! After dinner, we had a dessert party behind VIP ropes in Germany while enjoying an epic fireworks display. We concluded a truly amazing day with an after-hours ride of Soarin’!
