The sun made a special appearance just in time for our annual Summer Family Reunion Adventure on Sunday, July 27th!
Nearly 60 families reunited at our 16th annual Summer Family Reunion Adventure – that is more than 300 people in attendance! Including 7 out-of-state families from South Carolina, Indiana, Kansas, Virginia, and Florida. No one can turn down a splash bash in this Georgia heat, fueled by our generous friends at Gas South!
A heartfelt thank you to Gas South for sponsoring all of our family reunions in 2024 and 2025! Their generosity continues to create unforgettable VIP moments for our families – they know how to be a fuel for good. And this year, they’re going above and beyond, because each family also received a custom Bert’s Big Adventure and Gas South lunchbox (just in time for school)!

The families, along with our staff and dedicated volunteers, gathered at Life Time in Sandy Springs to swim, ride the waterslides, connect, and enjoy the last few moments of summer together. A big thank you to Casey and the team at Life Time for closing the pool so our families could have an exclusive pool party together!

In order to fuel the fun of a hot summer pool day, Zaxby’s generously provided a mouthwatering spread including their crave-worthy Chicken Fingerz, signature chicken sandwiches, and fresh House Zalads! A special thank you goes to Zaxby’s for always showing up big for our families!

DJ Willy T, aka Tommy from The Bert Show, kept the party rocking with his amazing DJ skills. You can always find a group of kids taking over the pool deck, making requests, and dancing between trips in the pool. Thank you, Tommy, for always taking our annual pool party to the next level!

We were also joined by the delicious Kona Ice! Kona Ice is an chill snow cone truck that lets you top your snow cone with epic flavors like Groovy Grape and Blue Raspberry. Let’s just say there were lots of purple and blue-stained faces. Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck kept everyone energized with delicious iced coffee creations including cold brews, frappes and iced lattes!
At the Carter’s Charitable Foundation craft station, kids embraced the summer spirit with festive temporary tattoos and had a blast designing their own vibrant foam visors.
Our friends at Eco Tech Services donated all of the water and Gatorade for the event – which was so needed due to the heat! Thank you to Mike and the entire Eco Tech team for keeping us hydrated!

We had a special surprise from under the sea, Princess Ariel, who swam up to say shell-o to all our sweet kiddos, thanks to Pratt Industries for crafting the perfect wave for her grand entrance!
Last but not least, thank you to our wonderful photographers and videographers for capturing all the amazing moments at the reunion! Amanda W. Coker with Dash Photography, Adam Davila with Davila Photography, Seth Ferreira with Salt Run Creative, and Aslyn Baringer with Aslyn Baringer Productions are the magic behind the cameras, and we are so grateful for them!

We will all look back on the day as one of the best days of summer, and we couldn’t have done it without all the gracious help of our volunteers, sponsors, photographers and videographers and staff
