Following the annual trip, Bert’s Big Adventure strives to further strengthen its established community and friendships by hosting Reunion Adventures. Also known as family reunions, the exclusive and unique events provide the families with year-round opportunities to enjoy more VIP experiences and intimate family time away from doctor visits and hospital stays.

On Sunday, November 6th, nearly 55 Bert’s Big Adventure families gathered at Phipps Plaza’s Court of the South for a Holiday Reunion Adventure with Santa at Phipps. We want to thank all of the wonderful people who came together to make this a magical evening!
Santa at Phipps – Each family was treated to a complimentary visit with Santa Claus and a donated photo package.
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta – Children were invited to join the Master Builders from LEGOLAND in a fun building activity. Each child got to build their very own snowflake to take home as a souvenir!
Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ – Jim ‘N Nick’s helped cater a delicious holiday meal for everyone to enjoy.
Jam Berry – Consultants set up a table to glam up everyone’s nails for the holidays!
Thank you to our 20 Fairy Godparent Volunteers for being there to help the kids with various activities throughout the night! We would also like to thank Bert’s Big Adventure Board Member and Fairy Godparent, Cindy Powers, for bringing some of the Disney characters to make the evening even more magical!

On Sunday, October 2nd, the Bert’s Big Adventure families from all past trips were invited to gather together for the fall Reunion Adventure at the College Football Hall of Fame & Chick-fil-A Fan Experience. The evening would not have been possible without the help of Dentistry for Children and Family Orthodontics!
Nearly 300 Bert’s Big Adventure family members joined in on the evening, along with staff and volunteers. Guests had the chance to explore the museum, practice their kicking skills on the football field, become a sports broadcaster for the evening and much more!
The Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders made a guest appearance to teach the kiddos some cheers! GG Face Painting provided face painting and consultants from Jam Berry set up a table to glam up everyone’s nails for the evening! Plus, our friends at The Icebox donated super-soft t-shirts for all of the families and staff!

On Sunday, July 24, Bert’s Big Adventure families enjoyed some fun in the sun at the 9th annual Splash Bash Pool Party and Reunion Adventure! More than 175 Bert’s Big Adventure family members were in attendance. The families, joined by the Bert’s Big Adventure staff and a handful of volunteers, had a great afternoon in and around the pool!
This year our reunion was held at the pool at Life Time Athletic in Sandy Springs! Families gathered for an exciting, three-hour swim. Guests enjoyed gourmet burgers and hot dogs served by The Loaded Burger, delicious pizza from Blue Moon Pizza, and frozen treats from King of Pops!

On Saturday, April 23rd, the Bert’s Big Adventure families from all past trips were invited to gather together for the spring Reunion Adventure at the 51st Anniversary of the Atlanta Steeplechase!
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect that day! Nearly 230 Bert’s Big Adventure family members joined in on the day of fun, along with staff and volunteers. Guests enjoyed a full day of horse racing, along with other entertainment like a hat parade, Jack Russell terrier races, skydivers, the Budweiser Clydesdales and more. Families cozied up on the hillside to watch the excitement with blankets given to them that day from A Touch of Warmth!
Along with delicious catering by Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ, the private Bert’s Big Adventure tent was alive with entertainment, as well! GG Face Painting provided face painting, TNT Fun Times provided an interactive photo booth and Kevin from Mystical Parties entertained the kiddos with balloon animals. Last but not least, consultants from Jam Berry set up a table to glam up everyone’s nails for the day! Three lucky raffle winners got to go home with a Jam Berry starter kit.
