What many may not realize about Bert’s Big Adventure is that the Adventure is JUST the beginning. Once a child and his or her family are selected to participate in the trip, they are a Bert’s Big Adventure family for life. They will experience additional “VIP” Reunion Adventures at Atlanta area destinations (such as The Atlanta Motor Speedway, Medieval Times, Country Club of Roswell and many more) each year, stay connected to the families they have met on their Adventure, and even meet families from other year’s trips.

Holiday Reunion at The Fox Theatre – December 2012

On Sunday, December 2, Bert’s Big Adventure hosted its annual holiday reunion at The Fox Theatre! The event was kindly sponsored by Broadway Across Atlanta and Carter’s.

Broadway Across Atlanta kindly donated tickets so that Bert’s Big Adventure could invite all families to see Disney’s Beauty and The Beast. In addition, families joined together before the show in The Fox Theatre’s beautiful Egyptian Ballroom for a holiday dinner, provided by Affairs to Remember. Families also enjoyed entertainment by Ken Scott Magic and the Songs for Kids Foundation! Plus, The Georgian Terrace Hotel donated parking to all families and staff in attendance…that’s almost 90 cars. Last but not least, thanks to Robert and Tiffany at Rustic White Photography for coming out to photograph the event.

Fall Reunion at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center – September 2012

On Sunday, September 30th, Bert’s Big Adventure hosted its annual fall reunion at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, located at Phipps Plaza! LEGOLAND® Discovery Center kindly donated tickets so that we could invite all 110 families. In addition, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse at Phipps Plaza donated dinner and cupcakes for all 350 family members that were in attendance.

During the event, Bert’s Big Adventure revealed the annual Magical Moments Magazine and now you can view it online. (A big thanks to Prographics and Carter’s for sponsoring the magazine.) Last but not least, thanks to Robert and Tiffany at Rustic White Photography for coming out to photograph the event.

Splash Bash – June 2012

On June 2nd, Bert’s Big Adventure families gathered at the Country Club of Roswell for the annual Splash Bash Reunion Adventure (also known as a family reunion). All members of the Bert’s Big Adventure family were invited to swim or hang out by the pool, enjoy a great lunch, and catch up with new and old friends.

We owe a huge thank you to the Country Club of Roswell for closing off the pool to Bert’s Big Adventure and for donating an amazing lunch. Jersey Mike’s Subs also donated sandwiches…nobody left hungry! The families topped off lunch with premium tropical shaved ice for dessert, which was generously donated by Kona-Ice. The kids had so much fun mixing and matching their own flavors! We also want to thank the Songs for Kids Foundation for generously donating their time to provide live and interactive musical entertainment. Lastly, we’d like to thank Zach Thomas Photography for capturing the day and to Mag-nificent for giving all of the families picture-magnet souvenirs!
