Bert's Big Adventure Child Lake Passes
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Lake Bozman, an incredibly brave child that was chosen for the 2015 trip to Walt Disney World with Bert’s Big Adventure. Unfortunately, Lake fell ill before the trip and was unable to attend.
Lake Bozman was 8 years old and suffered from acute myeloid leukemia – a rare cancer of the blood. His family shared through a Facebook page for the young boy, "Lake is healed and cancer free once again. He passed early this morning suddenly but peacefully. I feel peace knowing he is in the arms of Jesus and no longer fighting. I know he was met with some very special Angels sent special for him. Fly high sweet boy!!!!"
In early April, The Bert Show brought Lake in studio and surprised him with his dream: he always wanted to be an NBA player. So the Atlanta Hawks - along with The Bert Show - gave Lake the experience of a lifetime by signing the young boy to a one-day contract. You can see more on Lake’s experience here.
"One of the toughest kids I've ever met, Bert's Big Adventure's Lake Bozman went to heaven this morning. The smiles that he and his family wore for three hours as a contracted member of the Atlanta Hawks is forever how I will remember him and the joy his family shared together."
